Ginger gives this sweet pear smoothie a bright zip of flavour.


2 cups (500 mL) ripe pears, peeled, cored and diced, frozen 
1 cup (250 mL) Astro Smooth ‘n Fruity Peach yogourt 
½ cup (125 mL) pear nectar 
¼ tsp (1.2 mL) minced ginger


  1. Prepare fruit as directed above and allow 4 hours or overnight for fruit to freeze.
  2. In a blender add all ingredients. Blend until smooth. Add more nectar or water as necessary for desired consistency. Serve immediately.
